Atomic Camber Profiles
Up to now, the character of a ski has been influenced by three main factors: sidecut, waist width and the flex of the ski. Now, a new distinguishing characteristic is becoming more and more influential: the camber, or the skis profile when viewed from the side. In a ski bearing no weight, camber describes the points of contact with the surface, the preloaded tension between these points, and the profile in front of and behind them. In action, camber plays a decisive role in determining riding characteristics, and thus the conditions for which a ski is best suited.

D2 Doubledeck Series Technology
The Double Deck Effect Smoother Glide & Easier Turns
Up to now, every ski has been a compromise: nippy or forgiving, flexible at low speeds or smooth at high speeds. The D2 double succeeds in uniting these apparent opposites. The reason is its unique construction, Taken from two different skis: the relatively soft lower deck-- the adapter deck-- mutes vibrations, guarantees optimum edge-grip and makes for a perfectly smooth ride. The stabilizing upper deck-- the controlling deck acts like a steering module, receiving the skier's impulses and transmitting these directly to the lower deck.
Double Deck Vario Cut
The First Ski with Variable Sidecut and Adaptive Flex
The new D2 Vario Cut is the worlds first ski with self-adapting radius and flex. It reacts to the skiers impulses by automatically adapting its radius and by providing the optimum dynamics for each individual skiing situation. Additionally, two new elastomer mounted glide connections between the upper and lower deck provide optimum shock absorption. All this allows the ski to glide and turn with special ease making its rider a better skier.
Double Deck Vario Flex
The Double Deck with Self-Adapting Flex
In the D2 Vario-flex, the elastomer-mounted connection between the upper and the lower deck influences the way the ski flexes according to current skiing speed. At low speeds the ski is extremely easy to control. The higher the speed, the more dynamically the ski reacts. Its flex builds progressively and uses the desired rebound to support acceleration out of turns.
